Sensative‘s Desk Occupancy Sensor enables smart monitoring in an ultra thin, compact strip.
Designed to monitor vacant spaces, this desk occupancy sensor can be purchased with or without a sliding switch. Variants with a sliding switch can help to report when a desk has been cleaned. Ideal for busy office spaces and hot desking environments, the Sensative desk occupancy sensor can be useful in creating a COVID-secure workspace.
Acting as a multi sensor, the desk occupancy strip monitors motion to assess whether desks or other areas are vacant. When the user leaves the desk, the sensor then reports a dirty state to activate an alert for the desk to be cleaned. Whilst cleaning, users of the switch variant then slide the switch which after two minutes will reactivate the sensor ready for use by the next visitor.
The Sensative desk occupancy sensor uses LoRaWAN technology to report data to a compatible gateway over a range of up to 10 km. Supplied with a custom built-in battery with a lifetime of up to 10 years, the sensor strip can be easily applied via an adhesive backing or magnet.
