A gateway serves as a transparent hardware bridge that intercepts LoRa radio packets from end-devices and forwards them to the network infrastructure via an IP-based backhaul, such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular.
The Network Server (LNS) acts as the central management hub that authenticates devices, removes duplicate packets received from multiple gateways, and manages the Adaptive Data Rating (ADR) to optimise network capacity and device battery life.
